VISA PROCESS
How to Get a China Student Visa from Pakistan
Step 1: Receive Your Admission Letter
Before applying for a visa, you must have an Admission Letter and a JW201/JW202 form from your Chinese university. DYC helps you secure these as part of our admissions support service.
Step 2: Gather Your Documents
You will need the following for your visa application at the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad or Karachi:
- Valid Pakistani passport (6+ months validity)
- Completed visa application form (online at COVA system)
- University Admission Letter
- JW201 or JW202 form (issued by Ministry of Education, China)
- Proof of financial support (bank statement showing ~42,300 RMB for 6 months)
- Medical examination certificate from an approved clinic
- Recent passport-sized photographs
- Tuition fee payment receipt (if applicable)
Step 3: Book Your Embassy Appointment
Appointments must be booked online through the Chinese Embassy Pakistan website. Slots fill quickly, especially around September intake season. Book at least 6-8 weeks before your intended travel date.
Step 4: Attend the Visa Interview
Attend your appointment at the Chinese Embassy with all original documents. The visa officer may ask about your program, university, and financial plans. DYC prepares all students for these questions.
Step 5: Visa Approval & Travel
Processing typically takes 4-7 business days. Upon approval, you will receive an X1 visa (for programs longer than 6 months) or X2 visa (shorter programs). Once in China, you must convert your visa to a Residence Permit within 30 days.
💡 DYC’s visa success rate for clients is extremely high. Our team reviews every document set before submission to prevent rejections.
